“Young, hungry, and full of potential”

After losing 2 starting seniors to graduation from the 2023 team, the Colts will look to their talented sophomore class to fill those starting roles for the 2024 season.

“Returning sophomores River Choate and Branson Lowery spearhead this group,” says Inside Linebackers Coach Kameron Abernathy (who enters his first season with the program). “They are young, hungry, and full of potential.”

Alongside these two, Marcus Penn and Jaden Silvius will be in rotation and will see several snaps this season.

Coach Abernathy says this group “is defined by their physicality and eagerness to step down hill and make plays.”

Choate lettered as a freshman in 2023, seeing playing time on special teams, and on defense during the final 2 games of varsity action.

Abernathy comments that “fans can anticipate significant growth, impactful performances, and big hits” from the Colts’ inside backers in 2024.
