Trio of players with experience creating depth for Colts at Tight End

A pair of two-way starters, and a converted offensive lineman make up a solid 3-man rotation at the tight end position in 2024 for the Coahulla Creek Colts.

Jaxon Millsaps started the final 3 games of the 2023 season at RT, and now moves over to the tight end position. Tight Ends Coach Dan Tierney says Millsaps “has a good deal of speed,” and “will be a valued addition” to the position group.

Jackson Lowery and River Choate (both of whom played primarily on defense in 2023) will see their roles significantly increased on offense this season.

Lowery is a “physical football player with good hands and speed” says Tierney, “He comes off the ball well, and enjoys contact.” Coach Tierney also adds that Lowery is “learning how to become a better route runner” and his “catching ability is quickly improving.”

As for Choate, Tierney comments that he is also a “physical football player” and that he has “tremendous upside”. Coach says River “runs routes well and catches the ball well.”
